Mr b ive downloaded gimp on my computer but forgotten how to use it and i need some advice urgently it will make a good Christmas present especially for my nan (one problem my nan is coming to my house today !!!) by the way MERRY CHRISTMAS :)
Merry Christmas Celeste and family (especially Nan!!!)
First you take a picture of the character in the pose you want them in then take a picture of the background. Open the background in GIMP then open the picture of the character as a new layer (on top). (If you can't see the layers panel click window > recently closed docks > layers panel and it should appear. Use the resize and position tool to size and position the the character. Then right click on the layer and click "add alpha channel" (If this is greyed out you don't need to do it) Once you have done that use the rubber tool to remove everything but the character.
